Used as a welcoming
signal for the solo exhibition Curtain Fall and mounted above the gallery’s
entrance, the sign refers to large labels’
exclusive shops as well as the idea of conceptual art. In both cases the term
“conceptual” serves as a symbol of exclusiveness, whereas in this case the
handmade execution on discarded material more resembles the indicating of
junkshops.
